The agreement, in plain terms.

These terms cover your use of the MVO app and the tryMVO.com website. They are written to be readable. By downloading or using MVO, you agree to them.

1. Using MVO

MVO is a native macOS application that records your screen and produces polished video and GIF files on your device. You may use it for personal or commercial work. You are responsible for the content you record and for having the right to record it.

2. Your content

Everything you record and export is yours. MVO claims no ownership of your recordings or outputs and, as described in our Privacy policy, does not receive copies of them. Recording other people may be subject to local laws on consent and privacy, and meeting those laws is your responsibility.

3. License to use the app

MVO is licensed, not sold. Your right to install and use it is set out in the License. Please do not copy, resell, decompile or redistribute the app except where that license or applicable law allows.

4. Price and future paid features

MVO is currently free to download and use. We expect to introduce paid features in a later release. Any pricing, the features it covers and how existing users are treated will be made clear before it takes effect. Joining the waitlist places you under no obligation to buy anything.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use MVO to break the law, to capture content you have no right to capture, or to harass or harm others. Do not attempt to interfere with the app's integrity or to misuse the website.

6. No warranty

MVO is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important recordings.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MVO and its makers are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost recordings, data or profits, arising from your use of the app or website. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which may be nothing.

8. Changes

We may update the app and these terms over time. When the terms change materially, we will update the date above and note the change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
